GDB of CS601 is announced on VULMS. GDB will be opened for two days i.e. 03rd March 2022 (Thursday) and 04th March 2022 (Friday) to submit your answers / responses. Submit your answers on mentioned dates as no GDB would be accepted via email. GDB scenario is provided below:

GDB Scenario

A company has a small network in which some nodes exchange data with each other. Two nodes of this network, node ‘A’ and node ‘B’ are specifically configured in such a way that the node ‘A’ can send data to the node ‘B’ as per the following specifications:

1.   The data will be sent frame by frame.

2.   Communication will be unidirectional.

3.   An acknowledgment will be received before sending the next frame.

4.   The propagation time is lesser than the transmission time of the frame.

5.   The communication channel is noiseless.

 

Keeping in view the above scenario, you are required to suggest which data link layer protocol will be the most suitable from the following:

 

1.   Address Resolution Protocol.

2.   Simple Protocol.

3.   Stop and Wait Protocol.

4.   Go-Back-N Protocol.

 

Also, mention one Advantage and one Disadvantage of that suggested protocol.
